Abstract Background Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) is a revolution regarding screening and diagnosis of breast cancer. Yet, sometimes it not the appropriate choice imaging since examination needs to be scheduled may take place in another department. Contrast-enhanced mammography (CEM) contrast-based digital mammogram, consequently, has emerged as potential promising replacer DCE-MRI. Main body abstract There frequently asked question during multidisciplinary cancer tumor boards is: which modality more used each clinical scenario? This article provided detailed understanding these two modalities order achieve successful implementation them into practice. Which start with, context detection (screening) followed by characterization or identified lesions? What application both local staging follow-up ? All issues would discussed this article. Short conclusion safe tool for superior diagnostic performance compared CEM. However, CEM getting close: lies its accessibility, short-time procedure, requirement less training feasibility standardize.
